The princess of all things monochrome is back in Wednesday season two, and Billie Piper has also joined the cast as Isadora Capri. And fans are all saying the same thing about Piper’s Wednesday role.

Netflix very fittingly dropped the first four episodes of season two on Wednesday (6 August), which sees Jenna Ortega as the titular character and eldest Addams family child heading back to Nevermore to unravel another mystery

It’s been three years since the Wednesday cast was at the Nevermore Academy, and some new faces have now graced the screen for season two, including out lesbian actress Heather Matarazzo, Absolutely Fabulous icon Joanna Lumley, and an upcoming appearance from Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga

Also joining as a series regular is Doctor Who star Piper, who plays the head of the music department in Wednesday season two. Although the actress has been praised for appearing in the series, there’s one aspect of her role that fans just can’t wrap their heads around.

Wednesday viewers have noticed that the English actress has adopted an American accent to play Isadora in Wednesday season two, and they have thoughts.

One fan online wrote, “Watching season 2 of Wednesday and Billie Piper with an American accent is destroying my soul. Let her be British.”

Another wrote, “Billie Piper having an American accent in Wednesday, was not expecting that!”
