Some people are speculating that Christine Baranski and King Princess are in an age-gap lesbian relationship.
Star of The Gilded Age Baranski, 73, and singer-songwriter King Princess, whose real name is Mikaela Mullaney Straus, 26, have sparked speculation that they could be dating after they were spotted holding hands recently.
After fans of the stars circulated the rumour online, King Princess went on to to stoke the fire by posting an image of them holding hands during the re-opening night of Mamma Mia! on Broadway.
But it wasn’t just the couple’s cosiness that sparked rumours they might be dating; King Princess also captioned the photos to her 755,000 followers: #loveislove.
Comments under the post seem hopeful that the pair might be an item, despite their 47-year age gap.
“My fave thing about this id idk if this is real or not,” one person wrote.
Another joked, “omg hi sarah paulson and holland taylor xx,” referencing the 32-year age-gap relationship between Two and a Half Men actress Taylor and American Horror Story‘s Paulson.
“I honestly cant tell whats happening here but im loving that the girls and the gays are finally giving Christine the attention she deserves,” someone else wrote.
In a May feature with Interview Magazine, King Princess warned Christine Baranski that people would “will talk” about their bond.
Christine joked in response: “Our first date, let’s give them something to talk about, we actually got dressed up and finally had dinner. I remember we went to this chic, French-y watering hole. We sat at the bar, ordered our martinis, and suddenly we’re talking about our grandmothers who deeply affected and influenced our lives. I think that’s where we profoundly bonded.”
The pair met in Munich, Germany as co-stars on season two of Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers, which is fronted by Nicole Kidman.
