‘The best thing I have ever made’
She told NME of her third album: “Euro-Country is, I think, the best thing I have ever made. I felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I’ve made for myself… mainly because it was making me go crazy.
“I’m always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it’s s**t. More than success, there’s a bigger gremlin that wants me to make music that’s really good.
“She’s brutal and has ruined my life at times, but she is the keeper of my life, and she’s always right.”
CMAT revealed in an interview with TimeOut that her first-ever lesbian experience was at Koko in Camden. She recalled: “I went to see Little Comets at Koko in Camden. I had my first ever lesbian experience in the pit, and it was a 10 out of 10.”
The “Aw, Shoot!” singer also hit out at cruel body-shamers in May last year, writing in response, “I didn’t realise it was ILLEGAL to have a HUGE ASS!!!!”
