Forget the Frock Destroyers. See you later, United Kingdolls. Thicc & Stick? It’s over. A brand new Drag Race girl group is here, and it’s the first to feature all stars from the show, but be formed outside the competition.

RuPaul’s Drag Race production company World of Wonder revealed in a post on Instagram on 27 August that three former winners, and one sickening, fan-favourite runner-up, would be uniting to form REYN4, “a new drag supergroup”.

The dragged-up girl band will feature all three Drag Race Philippines winners – Precious Paula Nicole, Captivating Katkat, and Maxie – plus season one finalist and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World season two star, Marina Summers.

“REYN4 IS COMING. Today, World of Wonder’s WOW Records announces the formation of REYN4, our new drag supergroup of #DragRacePH icons and the first of its kind to be formed outside the #DragRace competition,” the production company shared in its post.

It confirmed that the group’s debut single would be entitled “Slaysian Royale” and is set for release on Friday 5 September. A full-length EP will follow “later this year”.

Conveniently, “Slaysian Royale” is also the name of the Drag Race Philippines All Stars-style spin-off series, which is currently airing on WOW’s streaming service, WOW Presents Plus.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale is the first All Stars season to feature all contestants of Asian heritage from across numerous global Drag Race franchises on one season.

According to The Wrap, the first episode of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale has become the most-watched premiere episode of an international season of Drag Race on WOW Presents Plus.

The girl group challenge has become a major fixture of most Drag Race franchises since the intial girl group challenge appeared on the original US franchise’s sixth season.
