Glee star Jane Lynch has tasked America, and the world at large, with finding the images of Chord Overstreet’s supposed naked Playgirl spread.

The challenge was issued by the lesbian icon during a special episode of Celebrity Weakest Link which saw Glee stars including Overstreet, Jenna Ushkowitz, and more reunite.

During a pause in the gameplay Lynch asked Overstreet, 36, who joined Ryan Murphy’s show as Sam Evans in season two, about touring for the Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. Overstreet said the experience was “insane.”

Lynch then enquired about a $100,000 offer Overstreet got at the same time. Smirking, Overstreet explained, “I got asked to do a full frontal a spread in Playgirl,” evoking shocked faces from his co-stars.

“You did not!” Lynch replied incredulously. Overstreet then confirmed that he did the photoshoot, starting to say “the images were so…” before getting cut off.

“I pocketed the money and it was the biggest issue that they had ever had – pre-orders, pre-sales and then my publicist pulled it off the rack,” he went on to say. “It’s out there, somewhere.”

Lynch then turned to camera. “America I’m giving you a task, this is your mission should you choose to accept it. Find those Playgirls!” she said.

E! News reported in 2010 that Playgirl had approached Overstreet, who was 21 at the time. “And he doesn’t even have to take it all off,” a Playgirl rep said. The same rep also said the magazine was after the late disgraced Glee star, Mark Salling, to appear, as well as the miners trapped in the 2010 Copiapó mining accident.

However, less than a month later E! News reported Overstreet wouldn’t be appearing in Playgirl. A rep told the outlet, “We couldn’t work it out. Chord’s people decided against it.”

This chimes with what Overstreet himself said on Celebrity Weakest Link. But it sounds like he misspoke when he said his publicist “pulled it off the rack.” We suspect the images weren’t approved so the spread probably never went anywhere. But, it does sound like the images exist, at least.

You heard Jane Lynch, go find them!
