Crumbl Cookies founder Sawyer Hemsley has gone public with his new boyfriend, one month after coming out as gay.
On 25 August, Hemsley came out as gay following online speculation, telling his followers, “People tried to define me.” He added: “The truth is, over the past few years, I’ve come to understand and accept that I’m gay.”
Hemsley took to his Instagram account on Thursday (25 September) to share a video of his boyfriend, Antoni Bruno.
The 33-year-old captioned the post: “The best part of my summer. These past few months have been some of the happiest of my life. This season has been one I’ll never forget, full of memories, laughter, and and a camera roll that tells the story better than I could.”
Bruno commented under the post, writing, “he’s a lucky guy”.
According to Bruno’s Instagram account, he is a luxury real estate agent at Sotheby’s International Realty in Los Angeles. His feed is filled with high-end property listings, along with a fair number of topless photos of him.
Following Hemsley coming out, TikTok star Grant Gibbs issued an apology for “outing” him. He took to TikTok to share that he was “proud” of Hemsley, but never intended to out him.
Gibbs added: “You are hot and you’re going to live your best out gay open life, mama… But you guys, I did not mean for this to happen the way it did. I’m so sorry, Sawyer.”
Hemsley and Jason McGowan co-founded Crumbl Cookies in 2017 and have since opened “more than 1,000 locations across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada,” as per the New York Times. The brand has had high-profile collaborations with Olivia Rodrigo, the Jonas Brothers and the Kardashian-Jenner family.
