Theatre kids rejoice! Cole Escola’s hit Broadway comedy Oh, Mary! is finally making its West End debut, and tickets are already on sale.
The award-winning dark comedy is set to arrive at Trafalgar Theatre, London, in December where it will run until April 2026.
Set in a post-civil-war United States, the 80-minute, one-act production reimagines the final days of first lady Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of US president Abraham Lincoln, into a twisted absurdist story of “history, heartbreak, and satire.”
In the weeks leading up to Abraham’s assassination, a miserable, suffocated Mary reminsces over her forgotten hopes and dreams, which have melted into a puddle of unrequited yearning and alcoholism.
The show, written entirely by Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, has been described as the “funniest play in years” and a “work of deranged beauty.” The production won two Tony Awards and was nominated for a Pulitzer prize.

In its review of the production, TimeOut gave Oh Mary! five stars, with critic Adam Feldman describing it as “not just funny; dizzyingly, breathtakingly funny, the kind of funny that ambushes your body into uncontained laugher.”
Pinkleton is reportedly set to return to direct the West End rendition of the dark comedy play, with The Sandman star Mason Alexander Park headlining the show ar Mary Todd Lincoln.
Kate O’Donnell will reportedly play Mary’s Chaperone, Oliver Stockley, while Dino Fetscher will star as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant and Giles Terera will star as Abraham.
“With rave reviews, major awards, and a reputation as one of the funniest new plays in years, this acclaimed production will soon be playing to UK audiences,” WestEnd Theatre wrote in a statement announcing the production’s West End debut.
Oh Mary! is set to run from 3 December 2025 to 25 April 2026 and is restricted for ages 14 and up. Tickets are available now at the West End Theatre website.
