Sarah Paulson and Kim Kardashian are divorce lawyers at war in the trailer for Ryan Murphy’s “insane” and “c***y” new legal drama, All’s Fair.
“Boy do I love coming here. Walking down that hallway shaped like a clown cervix, beef curtains, Black Mae West,” says Paulson’s divorce maven Carrington Lane in the trailer’s striking opening sequence.
The queer American Horror Story star, looking equal parts lavish and hell-bent on rinsing marriages for all they’re worth, then addresses her rivals in the “clown cervix” office: “As much as I’d love to continue to exchange pleasant cocktail pleasantries, there is a war to be won.”
Kardashian, who previously starred in Murphy’s American Horror Story: Delicate, plays Allura Grant, Lane’s nemesis. She’s flanked by her flawlessly dressed partners in crime, Liberty Ronson (Mulholland Drive star Naomi Watts) and Emerald Greene (queer Monsters actress Niecy Nash).
The trailer continues, overlaid with a reverbed, nail-biting version of Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch”, as Carrington declares her legal team as “the best divorce lawyers in town”.
“Men, they are terrified of women in power,” says Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close, playing fellow divorce expert Dina Standish.
A full synopsis for the wild series describes it as “fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated”.
“A team of female divorce attorneys leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice. Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances – both in the courtroom and within their own ranks,” the synopsis reads.
“In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game – they change it.”
It’s an impressively stacked cast, with “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” singer Jessica Simpson, Suddenly Susan star Brooke Shields, Ugly Betty’s Judith Light, and A Thousand and One actress Teyana Taylor also starring. American Horror Story: Freak Show actress and Meryl Streep’s daughter Grace Gummer will also appear.

Matthew Noszka will play Chase Munroe, the seemingly irresistible object of the women’s affection.
The trailer also shows Kardashian in a Beyoncé Lemonade-era gown smashing a windscreen à la the singer’s “Hold Up” music video, Close’s character getting a glass of water thrown over her, and a dead body. Drama, drama, drama.
Towards the end of the trailer, Sarah Paulson appears in full Kardashian get-up, telling her rivals: “This look is…”
Kardashian’s Allura Grant then interjects with: “Mine!”
Online, the response to the All’s Fair trailer has been nothing short of rapturous.

“OMG Sarah Paulson mimicking Kim’s look on the new TV show All’s Fair is everything I needed,” wrote one fan on X, formerly Twitter.
“This is like if you put in ChatGPT ‘make a lawyer show for gay men over 35’,” joked a second.
A third described All’s Fair as a “motherquake”, while a fourth wrote: “Ryan Murphy finally reheating his Sue Sylvester nachos for Sarah Paulson, this might be the first new tv show I watch in a while.”
All’s Fair is co-created and executively produced by Ryan Murphy.
The first three episodes of All’s Fair arrive on Hulu and Disney+ on 4 November.
