Taylor Zakhar Perez has channelled Demi Lovato à la Camp Rock while delivering his take on the script for the Red, White & Royal Blue sequel claiming it’s “really good.”
Red, White & Royal Wedding will be the follow up the popular 2023 gay rom-com starring Zakhar Perez as well as Nicholas Galitzine. The new title was confirmed very recently as well as the film’s director, But I’m a Cheerleader‘s Jamie Babbit.
Speaking to E News at Carlos Eric Lopez’s Fifth Annual Día de Muertos Gala recently, Zakhar Perez was asked about the upcoming film.

He confirmed they were shooting “in the new year.” Addressing the hype around the film he said, “There’s a huge appetite for the sequel so I’m looking forward to it. I read the script and it’s really good.”
Pressed for details he remained tightlipped fearing, “Amazon will find me.”
The fans are indeed excited based on the comments for the video which are almost exclusively made up of fire emojis or heart eye emojis. Others celebrated heading the “best news ever.”
Red, White & Royal Wedding was given the official green light by Amazon MGM Studios last month. The film has been written by Matthew López, Gemma Burgess, as well as the author of the novel, Red, White & Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston. Galitzine, Zakhar Perez and Uma Thurman are all set to return.
Red, White & Royal Blue proved to be a smash-hit success when it debuted on Prime Video in 2023. Galitzine plays closeted British royal Prince Henry and Zakhar Perez portrays Alex Claremont-Diaz, the bisexual son of a female US president, who go from enemies to lovers.

Praised by audiences and critics alike, there were soon demands for a sequel. News of a second film was announced last year, despite there being no book on which to base it.
McQuiston has previously teased what fans can expect from the sequel. The non-binary author said it would offer “a glimpse into Alex and Henry’s life after the confetti has finished falling from the first movie, and you have to move forward together as two adults in a real, serious adult partnership.”
Red, White & Royal Blue is available to stream on Prime Video now.
