The first trailer for season four of TV’s spiciest finance drama Industry has just dropped, and it features Kit Harrington’s Sir Henry Muck embraced in a potentially queer tryst.

Season four of the wildly successful HBO series is set to arrive back on screens on 11 January 2026 in the US (and later in January on BBC One in the UK), and the first look clip has already given fans plenty to sink their teeth into.

Set to the brooding voice of Nina Simone and her 1966 track “Lilac Wine”, the Industry season four trailer opens with a bedraggled Henry (Harrington) slogging his way through the grounds of a manor house at dusk.

The clip continues with his new fiancé Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela) looking pained, and Henry sitting in a car, his hands bloodied and battered.

Under the flashing lights of a sweaty club, Henry is then seen in a white vest, his hand running through the hair of an unidentified man, who is nuzzling Henry’s neck.

The so sad, so sexy series, set in London, will also introduce a number of new characters for season four, as seen in the trailer.

These include The Handmaid’s Tale star Max Minghella as executive Whitney Halberstram who is set to cause trouble for Myha’la Herrold’s Harperm and queer Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle actor Kal Penn as Jay Jonah Atterbury, the CEO of Tender.

The trailer continues with the promise of more sex, more scandals, and the occasional violent outburst, while the official synopsis for the season suggests season four could be the most explosive yet.

“At the top of their game and living the lives they set out to have as Pierpoint grads, Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) are drawn into a high stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game when a splashy fintech darling bursts onto the London scene,” it reads.

“As Yasmin navigates her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) and Harper is pulled into the orbit of enigmatic executive Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and ignite under the pressure of money, power, and the desire to be on top.”

On social media, Industry fans have been bowled over by the trailer, but it’s Henry’s potentially fruity scene which seems to have left most tongues wagging.

“Obsessed with how everyone in this is bisexual and it’s never a storyline or something that gets addressed, they just are,” wrote one Industry lover, referencing Henry’s partner Yasmin and her ambiguous sexuality.

“Something LGBTQ is happening,” a second fan theorised.

A third declared that they had always known that Harrington’s character “is bi”.

Throughout the first three seasons of Industry, Henry has been presented as heterosexual, though his sexuality has never been explicitly underlined. However, fans of the show do know that he is into some pretty, erm, diverse sexual endeavours.

Industry season four will run for eight episodes, with one episode a week premiering on HBO and HBO Max from 11 January.

Episodes will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at a later, unconfirmed date in January.
