Robert Irwin has brought everyone to tears with his latest post celebrating his time on Dancing with the Stars.
The 21-year-old conservationist and son of the late Steve Irwin has enjoyed a fantastic run on the US reality series, frequently achieving high scores.
The ‘proud’ LGBTQ+ ally memorably “let loose” during one routine ripping open his shirt much to everyone’s enjoyment.
Taking to Instagram on Monday (24 November), a day head of Tuesday’s grand finale, Irwin took a moment to pay tribute to his professional dance partner, Witney Carson.
Sharing a compilation of behind-the-scenes clips Irwin said he had “entered this experience to live out a dream,” and was leaving “with another big sister”.
In the caption the wildlife expert wrote: “Dancing With the Stars has changed my life in a lot of ways. But being part of this experience with Witney has been my favourite part. We’ve made it to the finale, and it’s bittersweet… one last chance to dance.”
Carson then replied: “You’ve brought me and the world so much joy and healing. Love you so much.”
The emotional post has had an effect on Irwin’s followers with many filling the comments with tears.
“No, it’s fine, I love ugly crying!!!” wrote one while another put: “Was this video supposed to make me cry? Probably not! But, it did!” Many others celebrated Irwin and Carson as well as expresseing their excitement for the couples’ final dances.

The DWTS final will see the remaining five celebrities – Irwin, influencer Alix Earle, gymnast Jordan Chiles, Dynasty star Elaine Hendrix, and The Traitors US winner Dylan Efron – take to the dance floor for three more dances – Judges’ Choice, Instant Dance and Freestyle.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in September, Irwin described being on DWTS as “a childhood dream”. He also said it was a “full circle thing” having watched his sister, Bindi, win season 21 in 2015.
