The Heated Rivalry soundtrack is finally here, and we’re all heading back to the cottage!
The 34-track soundtrack, Heated Rivalry (Original Series Soundtrack), drops on Friday (16 January) and features original music from artist and composer Peter Roy, better known as Peter Peter.
Last week, fans could stream two singles, the upbeat “Rivalry” and the heartbreakingly tender “It’s You”. Now, the full soundtrack to hockey players Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) steamy romance is out.
“The music I composed for Heated Rivalry uncovered a side of me I wasn’t certain I possessed, yet one I had always quietly wished was there,” Peter shared with Billboard.
“I’d never allowed myself such latitude in composition before. Jacob and [author] Rachel [Reid, who penned the book Game Changers on which the show is based] deserved the very best of me, so I gave them every ray of light I had.”
Heated Rivalry’s music is essential to the show, soundtracking both sweet moments of yearning and providing techno-infused beats for electric scenes of erotic connection.

The soundtrack to Heated Rivalry was released on Friday (16 January) and is the perfect soundtrack to your weekend.
Additionally, the show’s music has become a major talking point. Notably, T.A.T.u’s 2002 anthem “All The Things She Said” is an iconic needle-drop track in the hit show. Since the track’s Spotify streams have risen 135 per cent in the US.

The Heated Rivalry soundtrack is available now on major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
Show writer and director Jacob Tierney said that the music is “as integral to the series as the actors themselves.” Furthermore, he noted that he was listening to Peter’s work while writing the show.
Tierney also shared: “His original score doesn’t just sit underneath the story; it carries the emotion, the rhythm and the pulse of the show.
“I honestly can’t imagine this series without it. Peter’s music is completely woven into what the show is and how the story comes alive on screen.”

Is the Heated Rivalry soundtrack on vinyl?
Since the Heated Rivalry hype has been so far-reaching, it’s been confirmed that not only will we have a digital soundtrack, but there will also be a physical release.
It’s been confirmed that physical releases on CD and vinyl will be arriving later this year.
Sharing their excitement over the upcoming release, one fan mocked up an idea for the vinyl release.
“Did two mockups for Heated Rivalry with the vinyls being the color of their respective jerseys,” they posted.
