Drag Race host and “Queen of Drag” RuPaul Charles just revealed his favourite things to do while in London – and they’re surprisingly relatable.
The 65-year-old spends time in London to film RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and its Vs The World spin-off. And it sounds like he loves his time in the capital city.
In a video posted on TikTok and Instagram, Ru could be seen wearing a Puma tracksuit with an image of London’s Tower Bridge behind him.

Sharing his “top five things to do in London”, he was straight in with using the Elizabeth Line.
Sharing his love for the Lizzie Line, he said: “I was living in Ealing and I could get into central London in 25 minutes. It’s brilliant.”
He praised the tap in option at the gates and that TFL has a daily cap. Ru said it was “about $8 per day, maybe $13”, which is almost spot on. Zone 1 and 2 Tube or rail travel has a cap of £8.90 a day, around $11.
Next up was Ru’s love of shopping, with him shouting out department store Selfridges. Potentially not quite as relatable, given his estimated $60million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
But we can forgive that, as his next best thing was so real. Eating at Wagamama.
He explained for his non-UK-based followers: “It’s a chain restaurant, but their food is so good. I ordered the firecracker chicken. They change the menu a lot.” Luckily for Ru, it appears his favourite dish is still on the menu.
But perhaps even more relatable, Ru admitted he loves going to Marks and Spencer. “They have the most delicious lemon drizzle cake,” he said. “Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering.”
Finally, he confessed he loves a trip to ABBA Voyage. He said: “We love ABBA. I’ve seen it six times.”
Drag Race queens react
Danny Beard, who won Drag Race UK season four, joked: “Is… that? Ru? On the Lizzie Line?”
Season one icon Baga Chipz said: “You’re living your liiiffeee in London mama.”
Sally TM, from season seven, said: “OMG you liking Wagamama is so fierce drag.”
Choriza May, who returned for UK vs the World in 2024, commented: “YES (Waga)MAMA!”
