Oscars fever sweeps Stonewall
The UK’s leading gay rights organisation has caught the celebrity bug. Stonewall has launched an Oscars night sweepstake.
The 79th Academy Awards ceremony will be will be held on Sunday, February 25th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
For the first time an out gay performer, Ellen Degeneres, will host the awards.
To celebrate this milestone, Stonewall’s first-ever Oscar sweepstake pack can now be downloaded free from our their website.
The idea is that movie buffs can set up their own personal sweepstake for friends, family and work colleagues, thereby raising a maximum amount of money with the minimum amount of effort.
A set of simple instructions ensure participants will be able to begin fundraising without being delayed by huge amounts of preparation.
All monies raised will go towards Stonewall’s homophobic bullying campaign work.
Peter Knight, events executive for the charity, told PinkNews.co.uk:
“This is a perfect opportunity for supporters to raise money for the work of Stonewall and be part of the Hollywood magic.”
