George Michael appears in court for sentencing
Singer George Michael has arrived at court this morning to be sentenced for driving while unfit.
He has admitted the offence but claims he was guilty due to “tiredness and prescribed drugs.”
Michael, 43, arrived at Brent Magistrates Court in north London, to hear his sentence.
He was found slumped at the wheel of his car in Cricklewood on October 1st last year.
Michael had a mix of drugs in his system at the time of arrest, including GHB and cannabis, which he described as his “drug of choice.”
On his appearance on ITV’s Parkinson the star admitted that he was worried any sentence he is given could affect his US working visa, as he has a tour planned there for next year.
Tomorrow night Michael is scheduled to play in the inaugural concert at the new Wembley stadium.
