An acclaimed BBC drama about lesbian coming-of-age will be available to buy on DVD next month.
Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit is a story of love, freedom and religious intolerance.
This BAFTA award-winning drama, based on Jeanette Winterson’s acclaimed semi-autobiographical novel, follows the story of Jessica, a young girl discovering her own sexuality and dealing with an extraordinary upbringing.
Made in 1990, it starred the late Charlotte Coleman as Jess and Geraldine McEwan as her fundamentalist Christian adoptive mother.
Two other dramas dealing with lesbian love and relationships will also be released individually on DVD from 30th June 2008, priced £15.99.
