Pride London unveils magazine
Pride London has started distribution of their new magazine to accompany the two-week festival this summer.
The 2008 magazine has a different format and design, and aims to appeal to an even wider audience than before.
Emma Hands, the vice-chair of Pride London said the Pride Magazine is a valuable tool.
“It provides valuable income for our charity through advertising sales, but also allows us to publicise and highlight the work we do.”
Marketing and Communications manager David Dury also confirmed that he was “pleased and proud” of the new magazine.
“It has been a difficult year, with commercial “Pride” publications appearing, but we are confident that this new look and unique size will stand out from the crowd.”
Another title unconnected with Pride London was launched earlier this year.
Pride Life magazine, published by the independent company Pride Life Ltd, should not be confused with the official Pride London magazine.
Pride London magazine 2008 will be distributed in bars, clubs, shops and libraries in London, as the official accompaniment to London’s Pride festival.
Emma Hands called this year’s magazine “our best ever.”
“It’s packed full of information from all our groups and events.”
Copies of the free magazine will be distributed to bars, clubs, shops, community groups and libraries nationwide.
