British girl band The Saturdays first musicians to come @Out4Marriage
British girl group The Saturdays have lent their support to the Out4Marriage campaign and urged the public to get on board and support marriage equality for gay and straight couples.
Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman have become the biggest celebrities so far to join the Out4Marriage campaign launched earlier this week.
David Walliams and Stephen Fry are among the public figures drumming up support for the campaign on Twitter.
The Saturdays said today: “We know we can get married to the man of our dreams, but some people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual can’t marry the man or woman of their dreams.
“That’s why we support same-sex marriage: marriage equality and equal love for all, regardless of whether they are same-sex or mixed sex couples. Lend your support for marriage equality and come Out4Marriage!”
The British-Irish pop’s first album group Chasing Lights went platinum after its release in 2008.
Two further albums followed and the band recently confirmed rumours that they would be shooting a reality show for US TV network E!.
The Out4Marriage project was conceived by PinkNews.co.uk founder Benjamin Cohen and Mike Buonaiuto, the director of the Coalition for Equal Marriage viral video.
