Porn star UKIP candidate quits party to set up his own
A former porn producer who stood as a UK Independence Party candidate has quit, in order to set up his own political movement.
It was revealed earlier this year that John Langley, who stood for the party in Bristol council elections, was previously an adult entertainer under the name ‘Johnny Rockard’ – shooting and starring in porn films.
In some of the films, Mr Rockard appears alongside a number of women who perform sex acts on eachother.
At the same time, UKIP refused to condemn a Parliamentary candidate who planned to speak at a ‘gay cure’ event – but luckily Mr Langley did not seem particularly interested in ‘curing’ the women in the film.
Mr Langley failed to be elected when standing for the party – and has now left UKIP to set up his own movement.
The adult entertainer told the Bristol Post that his new group, the Brigstow Assembly, would campaign for direct democracy in the way in which the city is run.
He told the newspaper that he had been suspended from the party after it emerged one of his pornographic films was shot in a public park.
He added of his new group: “This is not about me, it’s about the majority view. I would not rule myself out from standing as mayor if that’s what the assembly wanted.”
