Adele would be happy if her son had a boyfriend when he’s older
The best-selling singer says she will always love and support her son ā āno matter what.ā
She may be a multi-award winning superstar, but it seems Adele may be on track to win yet another prize ā coolest parent of the year!
The singer has yet again proven herself to be one of the worldās most down-to-earth celebrities by admitting she cares very little about her sonās sexuality.
During an interview with Time magazine, the āHelloā songstress discussed parenthood and how excited she is about watching son Angelo grow up.
āHe makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much,ā she told the magazine.
āAnd Iāve always liked myself. Iāve never not liked myself. I donāt have hangups like that.
āBut Iām so proud of myself that I made him in my belly. Cooked him in my belly and then he came out of me! This human whoās suddenly walking around and doing his own thing.
āI canāt wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes.
āWhatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter whatā.
However, the singer isnāt the first A-Lister to impress us with her amazing approach to parenting.
Kate Winsletās reaction to her son Joe asking whether she would prefer if he was gay or straight won her a legion of LGBT fans back in 2011.
The Grammy and Golden Globe winning actress described how she was told by her son that one day he āmight have a boyfriendā, or a girlfriend.
When asked which she would prefer, she responded amazingly.
She said: āIt doesnāt make any difference to me.ā
Meanwhile, fellow actress Angelina Jolie has openly discussed her and Brad Pittās child John ā who has been exploring their identity since the age of three.
āShe wants to be a boyā¦ So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boysā everything. She thinks sheās one of the brothers,ā said Jolie.
Brad and Angelina have since been heavily praised for allowing John to explore their gender identity.
In December 2014, the Jolie-Pitt family announced their support for the eight-year-old to self-identify.
