Lesbians and bi women are having better sex than their straight counterparts
Straight women are having the least satisfying sex out of everyone, a study has found.
Researchers at American universities and the Kinsey Institute found that heterosexual women are bottom of the pile when it comes to ‘getting off’.
After surveying more than 52,000 adults, who identify as a variety of sexual orientations, only a third of straight women said they were able to orgasm every time they had sex.
This compared to 95 percent of heterosexual men who said they did.
Gay and bi men were able to orgasm just under 90 percent of the time (89 and 88 percent respectively).
86 percent of lesbians said they were able to orgasm every time they had sex with around two-thirds of women who identified as bisexual saying the same.
The study also found that women who were more likely to receive oral sex were more likely to orgasm, as well as be more satisfied with their relationship, ask for what they want in bed and wear sexy underwear.
The study suggests that a possible reason for lesbians having better rates of orgasm could be that women know more about how things work downstairs.
It added that gay women were better at taking turns than straight men – meaning the likelihood of orgasm increased.
A similar study in 2014 found lesbian were more likely to orgasm than straight women.
