The internet has reacted with outrage to a children’s book which depicts Santa as a gay, married black man.
The book, ‘Santa’s Husband’ (Buy in the UK/ Buy in the US) created by writer Daniel Kibblesmith and his then-fiancée, author Jennifer Wright, describes the story as a “fresh new twist” on the traditional story of Santa Clause.
Kibblesmith and Wright joked that they had “decided our future child will only know about Black Santa.
“If they see a white one we’ll say ‘That’s his husband’”.

And within minutes illustrator A.P. Quach tweeted in reply: “boom. new children’s book,” and a new children’s book was born.
But not everybody sees the happy, diverse side to the tale.
One Twitter user, @LauraLoomer, attacked the news outlet CNN for featuring a segment on the book.
She wrote: “Soooooo @CNN is really trying to make “Santa’s Husband” a thing for children…”
Right-wing news blog WorldNetDaily also responded, simply tweeting: “[Degeneracy intensifies]”
