Pop star Anne-Marie has revealed that she’s attracted to women.

The British musician, who went to number one in more than 20 countries as a featured artist on Clean Bandit’s hit song “Rockabye,” has opened up about her sexuality.

The 27-year-old followed Demi Lovato, Kehlani and Janelle Monáe in coming out over the past two months.

Like these American stars, Anne-Marie said her sexuality was not limited by gender.

The singer, who released her first album Speak Your Mind on April 27, told music publication The Line of Best Fit: “I’ve never ever just been attracted to men. I’ve never just been attracted to women.”

She continued: “I’ve never felt the need to tell anyone that I’m bisexual.

“I don’t feel like I am. I just feel like I’m attracted to who I like.

“I honestly feel like everyone is like that,” she added.

The rising star said the intention behind one of the songs on her new album, Perfect, was to pay tribute to and normalise differences.

The track covers a range of issues from body image to mental health with honesty, vulnerability and strength – and, crucially, in one line she sings about how she sees her sexuality.

Anne-Marie tells listeners: “And I’ll love who I want to love, ’cause this love is gender-free.”
