Woman used fake Grindr account to harass a gay man and sent his nudes to his family and friends

A woman who initiated a campaign of harassment against a man she met on Grindr has been jailed for 13 months.
Yannick Glaudin was accused of stalking the man and his boyfriend and of sending intimate photos and videos of him to family, friends and colleagues.
She was also accused of making false assault reports to police and Crimestoppers, The Guardian reports. She later fled to France and was returned to the UK after a European arrest warrant was issued.
Glaudin was handed her 13-month sentence yesterday in Inner London Crown Court where judge Silas Reid said her behaviour was “designed to cause maximum upset”.
Yannick Glaudin first made contact with the victim on Grindr in 2017.
The court heard that Glaudin first made contact with the victim on Grindr using the pseudonym Steven St Pier and they exchanged phone numbers and email addresses.
The online relationship did not last as the victim started to suspect that Glaudin was not who she said she was. He ended contact with her in December 2017. She then initiated a campaign of harassment against the man and sent intimate photographs to his stepfather as well as friends and other acquaintances.

When she found out that the victim had started a relationship with a man in February 2018, she took her harassment up a level. Using pseudonyms such as Harry Wars and Nick Guel on social media, she contacted friends of the victim’s boyfriend and made false accusations about him.
In March of that year, she reported her victim’s new boyfriend to Crimestoppers and claimed he was a paedophile who was abusing a child. She later impersonated the victim’s boss and told police she had seen “videos of underage sex on a laptop”.
She also made contact with other men on dating apps and sent them to the shared flat of the couple.
The victim’s ex-boyfriend said the harassment was ‘hell’.
The man’s now ex-boyfriend said the harassment they endured at the Glaudin’s hands was “hell” in court.
“I suffered the extreme shock of constant, insidious daily harassment at home, work and on every online channel I was registered on, by someone completely anonymous, using multiple aliases.”
Glaudin pleaded guilty in July 2018 to the charges but later fled to her native France. She was extradited following a European arrest warrant. Her legal representative told the court that she returned to visit two terminally ill relatives.
She was sentenced to 12 months on a charge of sharing private sexual photos and videos with intent to cause distress, four months for harassment without violence and four months for stalking without fear, alarm or distress. She will also serve one month for breaching bail and will serve the sentences together.
