JoJo Siwa and her girlfriend Kylie Prew have revealed the heartwarming secret to their relationship success.

The couple gave a joint interview to the Success With Jess podcast, which is hosted by Siwa’s mother Jessalynn.

Siwa, who came out in January, revealed that she immediately bonded with Prew when they met on a cruise.

“We just became instantly like this,” Siwa explained, holding up crossed fingers. “Like I had a big secret at the time that I wasn’t supposed to tell anybody, and I told her within 10 minutes of meeting her.”

After almost eight months of dating, the pair have had their ups and downs. They revealed that their first fight was “over a Lego”.

According to the couple, Prew wanted to build Lego, but Siwa didn’t find the idea thrilling. She then assumed Prew was mad at her which led to an argument that was quickly resolved.

JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew then offered their advice for getting through arguments and having a successful relationship.

“This is going to sound stupid but don’t hold grudges over stupid things because it’s dumb, and it’s going to waste your time,” Prew explained.

She continued: “It’s not going to matter in an hour, it shouldn’t matter then.

“So it’s like just let it go. Because at the end of the day, if you both really want it to work, you’ll make it work.

“So don’t hold grudges, that’s stupid.”

Siwa added that couples should “never go to sleep mad”, “always end with an ‘I love you’” and “always end with an ‘I’m frustrated but tomorrow it won’t matter'”.

JoJo Siwa planned an entire musical number for her girlfriend

The couple also explained how they were “best friends” for over a year before realising there was more to their relationship.

Siwa explained that they both asked each other to be their girlfriend, and the Dance Moms alum planned a “whole musical number” with accompanying choreography for the moment.

“I had word choreography that coordinated to music, and then it went into a song.”

She said that it was “magical” and “amazing”, and that she had to do “like 10 run-throughs” of the musical number just to get her nerves out.
