Britney Spears is finally set to walk down the aisle with Sam Asghari – but her family will be “banned” from the “intimate” wedding ceremony.

The “Toxic” hitmaker, 40, will reportedly marry the 28-year-old model on Thursday (9 June), sources told TMZ.

The couple has allegedly been planning their nuptials behind the scenes. Insiders allege there will be a “very exclusive and small guest list of 100 people” – with just a single one of Britney’s family members invited.

Britney’s older brother, television producer Bryan Spears, will be the only one to see the singer say I do. He was once described as a “peacemaker” during her years-long bid to free herself from her conservatorship.

Her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, as well as parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears, will be barred from attending.

And Britney certainly has her reasons. Her father, Jamie, oversaw his daughter’s “abusive” conservatorship that left Britney traumatised, treated like a money-making “puppet“, allegedly drugged and forced to use birth control.

Britney is, the sources say, still planning on who will give her away at the altar.

Lynne, meanwhile, was accused by Britney of “ruining her life” and giving Jamie the “idea” in the first place to entangle her in a 13-year-old arrangement that stripped her of her decision-making.

Much of Britney‘s public fury has also been directed towards Jamie Lynn. In a months-long tit-for-tat, an irate Britney repeatedly blasted “scum” Jamie Lynn for publishing a tell-all book and “making money off me“.

Following five years of courtship, Asghari popped the question in September 2021. “I can’t f***ing believe it,” wrote Britney in an Instagram post, showing off the round-cut engagement ring with a smile.

The couple first met on the set of Britney’s “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and have been together since.

Their relationship has long been hampered by Britney’s court-ordered conservatorship, with her conservators allegedly blocking her from not only marrying Asghari but having children with him, too. The arrangement finally came to an end in November.

Tragedy struck Britney and Asgahri in March when, only weeks after announcing she was pregnant, the couple announced that Britney had suffered a miscarriage.

“Our love is our strength,” Brintey wrote on Instagram at the time. “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
