Eurovision’s Scott Mills just spilled the tea about co-host Rylan’s love life

Scott Mills has commented on the love life of his pal and Eurovision commentary co-host, Rylan Clark, saying that the latter “would love to find” a new partner.

Rylan Clark and his now ex-husband, Dan Neal, separated in 2021 after six years of marriage with Rylan stating that “a number of mistakes which I deeply regret” led to the breakdown of their relationship.

In the years since Rylan has been open about the impact the split has had on him writing in his 2022 memoir Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future that it sent him into a mental health crisis and forced him to spend time in hospital following suicide attempts and two heart failures.

Speaking to The Mirror ahead of Eurovision, where Scott and Rylan will share commentary duties for the two live semi-finals, the Radio 2 Breakfast show host said he was looking forward to a catch up with his pal.

But of all the conversation topics Scott indicated the one he was mot keen to broach with Rylan was his love life.

“Rylan needs to find his version of Sam [Scott’s husband] because that’s what he needs,” the former Radio 1 DJ said.

“Sometimes Rylan is like, ‘Oh, I wish I had someone like Sam,’ and it’s like, ‘Hey, you have got all the time in the world.’ I know deep down he would love to find somebody,” he went on to say.

Scott, 52, met his partner Sam Vaughan, 36, in 2017 before getting engaged in 2021 and marrying in 2024.

The presenter also told The Mirror: “It took me a long time to find the right one. Not discounting any of my other relationships because I’m on good terms with people. But it took me quite a long time and it’s worth it in the end because you know it’s the right thing.”

Looking back at the last years since his wedding, Scott reflected that he had a “it was the best year of my life,” and “I’m honestly the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

He also said of Sam, “I honestly feel that because I feel safe and secure with him that every area has fallen into place.That will affect how good you are on air, how you appear, how you look, if you look happy…

“People now say to me every day, ‘Oh my God, you look so happy with life.’ And maybe they wouldn’t have said that before. I really feel like I finally sorted it out and everything is in order.”

The Eurovision 2025 semi-finals will take place in Basel, Switzerland, on 13 and 15 May, with the final taking place on 17 May.
