Gay adult film icon Colton Ford dies aged 62

Gay adult film star Colton Ford, known outside of the industry as Glenn Soukesian, has reportedly died at the age of 62.

The adult film icon reportedly passed away on 19 May, with friends and contemporaries mourning his loss one day later, and many claiming that he died in a hiking accident – though his cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Ford started his adult entertainment career in 2001, at the age of 40, with credits including studio collaborations with Falcon Studios, Centurion and more, alongside user generated content later in his career. He received the GayVN Award for Gay Performer of the Year in 2003.

Chi Chi LaRue, a drag queen who also directs gay adult films, wrote on Facebook (20 May), “I’m So Shocked and Saddened to Hear and Report the sudden passing of my friend and Icon Glen aka Colton Ford! You will missed! Keep Singing In Heaven!”

Fellow adult entertainment industry star Dallas Steele took to X to pay tribute to Ford (21 May), writing, “It is with great sadness, I share word of the passing of my friend Glenn, who you may have known as pornstar and singer Colton Ford. Few details have been shared, but sources say he died from an accident on a hiking trail in Palm Springs.

“I met Glenn when he first moved to Palm Springs a few years ago. Though he “retired” from shooting commercial studio porn, I asked him to do an Only Fans with me, and he agreed. We had a wonderful, hot, and meaningful experience together. He was a very deep, caring, thoughtful person. In 2022, Glenn performed at several of our charity pool parties. The crowd loved his vocals, engaging energy and sex appeal.

“In 2023, Glenn asked if I’d appear with him in a series of mid-century modern style gay erotic photos with him and a man way younger than both of us. It was a wonderful day with photographer Jay Jorgensen. Sadly Jay took his own life a few months later. But I’ll never forget the fun we had on-set that day together.

“Glenn was such an amazing spirit. Always thinking about what he planned to do next. Always optimistic about the possibilities. I will miss him and his great smile.”

Tim Wood, another contemporary from within the adult film industry, wrote that Ford, “was a brillian artist who always kept a song in his heart. Sweet, funny, kind, sassy – and hopelessly handsome” amid a longer tribute (21 May).

Ford was also a club/ dance house music singer-songwriter and a film star, appearing in 2005 documentary Naked Fame, which followed his transition from adult film to the music industry. He also appeared in several music videos.

His acting roles included projects like Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild!, The Lair, and The Next Best Thing, per IMDb. 

He released several singles, a debut album named Tug of War in 2008 and two follow ups, as well as appearing on Cyndi Lauper‘s 2008 True Colours Tour.

Ford is one of several adult entertainment stars to pass away in recents months; in March, legendary performer Tim Kruger died in a “tragic accident” and porn star Damien Stone died aged 32 in April.
