A gay influencer couple shared a passionate kiss in front of anti-LGBTQ+ protesters at Pride in London, and the moment makes for iconic viewing.
Influencers Nick Toteda (@nicktoteda) and Anthony Cushion (@antcfitness) shared their protest on Instagram, captioning the clip: “Spreading the love to our haters.”
The video shows the pair running together while holding hands, before Nick jumps up and wraps his legs around Anthony as they embrace in a passionate kiss — right in front of anti-LGBTQ+ protesters.
The moment sparked a roar of cheers from those lucky enough to witness it, while the anti-LGBTQ+ protesters continued chanting about Jesus being the saviour.
Anthony told PinkNews: “We kissed in front of the protestors at Pride to show that love and authenticity will always outshine hate. In the face of judgment, it’s even more important to stand tall, be ourselves, and show up proudly for our community.
“We’re big believers in peaceful, meaningful expression… no aggression, just kindness, confidence, and love. Some said our kiss was aggravating, but we shared that same moment in many other places throughout the parade. The only difference was who chose to stand in front of it. If someone finds love offensive, that says more about them than it does about us.”
Nick and Anthony, who are married, regularly post about their relationship on social media. In a post ahead of Pride, they shared that when they’re together, their 100 problems go to zero.
Comments under their Pride in London protest video are united in celebrating their courage to call out the hate.
One person wrote of the anti-LGBTQ+ protestors: “Like the world isn’t awful enough and so they decide to protest against a bit of extra love?”
“Jesus taught love ur neighbour,” another commented. Another joked, “I just don’t understand what they are protesting 😂😂😂 they just need to stop being so obsessed with us.”
Pride in London 2025 attracted tens of thousands of people. The campaign for 2025 was “Volunqueer” in tribute to the volunteering that has been core to the LGBTQ+ movement. It aimed to encourage people to give whatever they can — time, skills, or resources — to LGBTQ+ charities and organisations, while also shining a spotlight on community heroes who have undertaken selfless acts in service of their communities.
