Iconic reality television staple Queer Eye has been renewed for its tenth season – which will also be the final instalment of Netflix’s longest-running unscripted series.

Queer Eye, which has followed the Fab Five as they transform various people’s lives since 2018, will end after its tenth, upcoming season.

The news was confirmed by a press release and an Instagram from Netflix and the Queer Eye accounts, reading: “10 seasons. fab five. one last go ’round.”

It adds: “The final season of Queer Eye is official in production!”

The Five consist of beauty guru Jonathan Van Ness, chef Antoni Porowski, culture maestro Karamo Brown, fashion expert Tan France and, for its first eight seasons, Bobby Berk as the group’s interior designer. Berk was replaced by Jeremiah Brent for season nine, which released last year.

Van Ness commented on the post, writing: “What a wild ride… excited to bring it back one more time.”

France added: “What a joy it’s been to be able to make this beautiful show all these years.”

Sharing the post to his Story, Antoni wrote: “Let’s make our last one count,”

Queer Eye, which has been nominated for a cool 37 Emmys, as well as six back-to-back triumphs in the Outstanding Structured Reality Program between 2018-2023, has traversed the US, helping ‘Heroes’ in more than eight states.

Its tenth season is reportedly headed to Washington, DC, for its last instalment of episodes, with a press release reading: “Just like the many heroes before them, these deserving D.C. residents will be pampered and given the tools to continue growing even after the Fab Five cross back beyond the Beltway.”

Netflix’s Queer Eye is a reboot of the 2003 show of the same concept Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which originally starred RuPaul’s Drag Race rotating judge Carson Kressley as its fashion expert. It ran for five seasons until 2007.

Queer Eye season 1-9 are available to stream on Netflix.
