Hamilton star JJ Niemann has gone viral after admitting that he has snuck that JoJo Siwa dance move into all his performances on Broadway.
In a TikTok, the gay actor joked that he included Siwa’s famous dance move from her song “Karma” into every single Hamilton show in which he appeared, proving the claim with an on-stage clip.
“Please don’t tell me you snuck JoJo Siwa’s ‘Karma’ dance into your performance every night on Broadway,” he wrote in the TikTok, before cutting to a clip of him in costume performing the move, which involves raising and lowering the arms with a lot of nodding.
The moves fitted the “vibes” of the routine, added Niemann who plays Charles Lee in the hugely successful musical.
Siwa seemed on board with the joke, reposting the TikTok, which has racked up almost two million views.
The former Dance Moms star has insisted that she “didn’t care” about fans’ reaction to the song.
“I didn’t care if people liked it, I didn’t care if people hated it. I wanted people to turn their head at it, and I wanted people to talk about it,” she said on Good Morning America. “Whether people like ‘Karma’ or don’t, they sing it, they dance, they know it and it’s in their heads. At the end of the day, it worked.”
Siwa has released several other songs with new looks and aesthetics, with her cover of “Bette Davis Eyes” featuring a 50s style, and latest single “Raspy” poking fun at online trolls’ comments about her voice.
