Flip that hair and put those heels on, henny, because RuPaul’s Drag Race has officially been renewed for season 18 and All Stars 11.
There wasn’t much doubt that it would be, but it’s always nice to have the news confirmed by mother herself; the Emmy-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise has been renewed for its eighteenth season (!).
What’s more is that the hugely popular All Stars spinoff, which sees queens return for a second (or third, or fourth) go at the crown, has been renewed for its eleventh go round.
Announced today (21 August), a message from Mama Ru saw the glamazon sat behind the Judges’ Panel with a suspicious looking wig atop her head, saying: “It’s official. RuPaul’s Drag Race has been renewed for a gagworthy eighteenth season on MTV – plus, a brand new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked.”
RuPaul continued: “But wait, there’s more. The eleventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is returning to Paramount+, alongside a new season of All Stars Untucked.”

Ru concluded: “We are so grateful to all our fans for all the love and support you’ve shown to our show, and to our beautiful and talented queens. Thank you.”
It’s perhaps no surprise that both franchises have been renewed for another season, with the flagship series sweeping the 2025 Emmy nominations.
In fact, RuPaul herself bagged his tenth Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program nod, becoming the most-nominated TV host in the category, ever.
Drag Race also earned its ninth consecutive nomination in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program; a category it has previously won in five times – more than any other reality show.
Another reason it’s good news as to why Drag Race has been renewed is that both season 18 and All Stars 11 have reportedly already filmed.
In fact, the rumoured cast list for the latter is available here…
Other upcoming seasons in the wider RuPaul’s Drag Race universe include the third iteration of Drag Race UK vs. the World, and the seventh season of Drag Race UK.
RuPaul’s Drag Race has recently seen Onya Nurve snatch the crown of its splashiest season yet, and Ginger Minj become the eleventh queen to enter the Hall of Fame after All Stars 10.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 grand finale is streaming now on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally.
