Australian singer G Flip has suggested that their next wedding to Chrishell Stause could be goth-inspired
The non-binary singer and Selling Sunset star got hitched in 2023 in a ceremony in Las Vegas, before getting married a second time in Oz, this time surrounded by family and friends. Not content with just two sets of nuptials, third time was the charm for the couple when they did it all again at the end of July in a medieval-inspired event.
While speaking to PinkNews about their new album, Dream Ride, G Flip said the themed wedding was great fun.
“There will be another one next year,” they said. “We’re thinking, goth.”
When asked of it could be “Wednesday-core”, inspired by Tim Burton’s Netflix hit, the singer replied: “For sure”.
Photographs on the couple’s Instagram accounts following the latest wedding showed Stause in an off-the-shoulder white, princess-style gown, complete with a corset bodice and puff sleeves.
G Flip seemingly channelled their inner knight, kneeling next to their wife in a red doublet featuring gold details, with a sword strapped to their back.
“Found my knight, pledged my heart again, a vow sealed beneath the stars,” Stause wrote on Instagram.
“And to the inevitable haters [because] we do this every year, what is the difference if I threw myself a birthday party in July? Why is one accepted and the other makes you cranky? A plague on your houses.”
Meanwhile, G Flip wrote: “Yearly wedding number #4 on the wedding world tour… celebrate our love like a birthday and a medieval theme is funny as f*ck.”
The singer told PinkNews about how their love for Stause was the inspiration for some of the tracks on the new album.
“There [are] the lovey dovey songs which are very much inspired by me and Chrishell’s story, and just her in general,” G Flip said.
“Let’s Take This Show on the Road” was a particularly fun track to write, they added. “I imagined me and Chrishell in this movie 80s dreamscape. Chrishell loves scrambled eggs and cheese, it’s like her favourite thing to eat every morning so I wanted to slip that in a little lyric.
“There [are] cute little hints of her personality through a lot of my love songs… being in love, helps you write songs.”
And “Lush”, which they describe as more of a sexy song, is “definitely about Chrishell because I always think she looks the best coming out of the shower”.
