Cher-produced horror flick, Big Baby, has got its first trailer and you wouldn’t “Believe” how bloody it looks.
Big Baby stars Brandon Scott and Krsy Fox and is written and directed by Spider One and his horror-focused production company OneFox Productions. Cher is one of the company’s executive producers, as well as her son, Chaz Bono.
A synopsis for the film reads, “A nightmare involving a maniac killer in a baby mask serves as inspiration for horror screenwriter Adam Lewis’s (Scott) new script. As more nightmares, visions, and real life terror begin to challenge Adam’s sanity, he finds himself in a desperate struggle to control his writing, his reality, and who will be Big Baby’s next victim.”
A 2024 report from Deadline adds that Fox will play Kate, Adam’s girlfriend. The outlet also reports Spider One as saying, “My goal for Big Baby was to turn the slasher genre inside out… to craft a meta script about creation and those creations coming to life.”
The first trailer for the film offers little in the way of plot details. We see Kate pleading with Adam to let her help him only to be told, “It’s too late.” Then Adam ominously continues, “And now I’ve realised there’s only one way for all this to stop.”
A large man dressed as a baby and wielding an axe then appears behind Kate. The trailer then features quick flashes of other scenes, including screams and some squelches that sound a lot like murders taking place. These are then interspersed with shots of an intense young boy facing the camera and instructing, “Kill. Them. All.”
Big Baby also stars Adam Marcinowski, Jordan Elsass, Radek Lord, and Sierra McCormick. Chaz Bono also features as well as Kate Freund, Torio Van Grol, and Catherine Corcoran. The cast is rounded out by Cameron Cowperthwaite, Kirby Bliss Blanton, and Nelson Leis.
Spider One has confirmed on Instagram that Big Baby will get its world premiere at Screamfest LA on 9 October.
