Canada’s Drag Race winner Priyanka has shared a clip of the moment she asked her long-term partner to get married – and it’s adorable!

Priyanka won the first season of Canada’s Drag Race in 2020, beating Rita Baga and Scarlett BoBo in the grand final.

On Wednesday (10 December) Priyanka posted a video on Instagram showing the moment she popped the question to her partner, George Skaruz.

“We’re celebrating five years today,” Priyanka tells the party guests surrounding them who cheer in response.

“I know that all of you want us to get engaged and we are!” the drag queen continues before turning on the spot, getting down on one knee and producing a ring.

Skaruz is genuinely surprised, clasping his hands over his mouth as Priyanka produces the ring. Priyanka asks “will you marry me?” and Skaruz nods yes as they come together and hug.

“I’m so shocked,” says a clearly still stunned Skaruz afterward as Priyanka exclaims, “a wedding!”

The Drag Race community has filled the comments section with love and congratulations with Cheryl Hole, Divina De Campo, and Peppermint among them.

The consensus among the responses is that the moment is totally “cute” and adorable, and we couldn’t agree more!

Since winning the crown in 2020, Priyanka has gone on to have a thriving career including music, movies, and TV shows.

Of course, there was Priyanka’s track “Come Through” which featured an iconic verse from her Canada’s Drag Race sister, Lemon. And Priyanka has also starred in movies such as It’s All Sunshine and Rainbows and co-hosted the drag series, We’re Here.

As for whether she’d ever return to Drag Race for an All Winners season, in 2021 she told PinkNews she was up for an All Winners season.

But last year she seemed to be second guessing it, asking of the fans: “Do we have to always go back for you to love us?”
