With just two weeks until the start of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 18, the host of the reality show’s official recap series The Pit Stop has been revealed, and it’s a bona fide Drag Race legend.
Bianca Del Rio, who won Drag Race season six back in 2014, will be bringing her rolodex of hate to The Pit Stop once again having previously hosted the popular YouTube series for season 15 and All Stars 8 in 2023.
The 50-year-old drag legend takes over from All Stars 4 winner Monet X Change, who hosted the show this year for season 17 and All Stars 10.
“I’m excited to be back hosting The Pit Stop and giving everyone my sweet, kind and thoughtful critiques,” Bianca joked in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter yesterday (16 December).
“No one will be safe … not even Michelle Visage!” she added.

Next year marks ten years since The Pit Stop first aired in 2016. It began as a weekly YouTube review of season eight, hosted by YouTube personality and comedian Kingsley.
As the show has grown in popularity, it has been hosted by a roulette of Drag Race fan-favourite queens, including Trixie Mattel, Bob The Drag Queen and Alaska.
Each week, the hosting queen is joined by another fan-favourite Drag Race alumni to discuss the events of that week’s main episode.
The list of queens set to join Bianca Del Rio for season 18 is yet to be announced.
Season 18 will begin airing on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally from 2 January, with episodes airing every Friday from then on.
The Pit Stop will be released on YouTube every Saturday.
Since winning Drag Race back in 2014, Bianca Del Rio has remained an all-time favourite queen in the Drag Race fandom. Known for her caustic wit and withering comebacks, she is also a stand-up comedian and actor, having appeared in films and TV shows including Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Bad Education.
In 2019, she took her stand-up show It’s Jester Joke to Wembley Arena, becoming the first ever drag queen to perform at the prestigious London venue.
