Beloved gay Severance actor Tramell Tillman has shared that the LGBTQ+ community “will survive” the heinous political attacks it is currently facing in the US.
The 40-year-old actor, known for his breakout role as Seth Milchick in the hit Apple TV+ series, was attending the Golden Globes luncheon for first-time nominees, where he shared a reminder of queer togetherness.
“We’re being silenced and pushed apart,” Tillman told Variety.
“We need more voices, we need more stories, we need more appearances, more presence across the board and not just in this country but around the world.
“I’m glad to be a part of that movement and do whatever I can to support our community and uplift us, especially the trans community, because we need it.”
There’s a devastating and disturbing rise in anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment and lawmaking in the US and beyond. This has been particularly aimed at the trans community.
Just this week, a bill that would criminalise gender-affirming care for trans young people passed through the US House. This is just one move in a continued and aggressive onslaught on the trans community.
‘We have each other. We’ll get through it.’

Since his inauguration earlier this year, Trump has signed executive orders banning transgender people from serving in the military, barring trans women from female sports and restricting gender-affirming healthcare for trans youngsters under the age of 19.
He has also moved to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programmes across the government and in the military.
Tillman also added: “We have each other. We’ll get through it. We will push past this, and we will survive because we always do, and we always have.”
Tillman made history as the first openly gay Black man to be nominated for an Emmy in the supporting actor category for a drama series; what’s even more impressive is that he went on to win it.
His next project is a role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He will star opposite Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batolon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo. They will all reprise their respective roles of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, M.J, Ned Leeds, Punisher, and the Hulk.
Though Tillman has to be secretive about his part, he did share about the superhero movie: “I always wanted to be in that world.”
“I used to watch DC Comics and Marvel all the time. To be a part of it is such a gift. I was treated lovely. Everyone was wonderful.”
Also starring in the fourth Spider-Man film are Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas. Their roles remain undisclosed for the time being, as does Tillman’s.
