“Things keep getting better” as Netflix has revealed the release date for the final season of Queer Eye, and there’s still time for one last makeover.
The hit TV series, which started in 2016, returns for its final outing at the end of the month. It will see Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Jeremiah Brent, Karamo Brown, and Antoni Porowski head to the US capital, Washington, DC, for their last outing as The Fab Five.
On Monday (5 January) Netflix released a poignant teaser which took a look back at previous seasons, heroes, and makeovers. Featured in the promo is former host and interior design buff, Bobby Berk, who departed the show after season eight.

When will the final season of Queer Eye be available?
Good news, there’s really not long to wait. Netflix has confirmed that the final season of Queer Eye will be available to stream and then ugly cry over on 21 January.
Who is hosting this season?
As with season nine, Queer Eye‘s tenth season will be hosted by the Fab Five – Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Jeremiah Brent, Karamo Brown, and Antoni Porowski.
They are the experts in style, grooming, interior design, culture, and food and drink respectively.
Where is the season taking place?
Season 10 will be set in Washington, DC. The first-look image from the season sees the cast walking across a Progress Pride flag crosswalk.
What’s going to be different about Queer Eye‘s final season?
As well as making over a new batch of “heroes”, this final season will also look back at the show’s “enduring legacy”, according to Netflix.
Queer Eye is Netflix’s longest-running unscripted series and has so far earned 37 Emmy nominations and 11 wins.
The series also boasts six consecutive wins for the Outstanding Structured Reality Program category at the Emmys – a record.
The show has also won multiple Critics Choice Real TV Awards, and received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program.
What has the cast said about the final season?
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, France wrote in his Stories: “I’m going to miss these Queer Guys, with their queer eyes.”
Van Ness shared the season’s poster adding a hands making heart emoji and a pink heart emoji.
Sharing the poster to his Instagram profile, Brent wrote: “Endings are never really endings. They’re gratitude with a pulse. They’re lessons that linger. Thank you for teaching us how to care… out loud, unapologetically, and with love.”
And Berk commented on the Queer Eye Instagram account’s post saying, the season would be “the end to an incredible life changing journey”.
Commenting on the trailer Berk added: “What a journey!!!! Thank you to our our Fanily (sic) and crew who made this journey so very special and a huge thank you to our [Netflix] family who made all of this possible. Love you all.”
What happened to Bobby Berk?
Berk was the Queer Eye interior design expert from seasons one to eight. He announced in November 2023 he was leaving the show with a “heavy heart”, but amid rumours of tensions in the cast.
After he stepped away from the series there were claims Berk was “fired” as well as some cast-member-fuelled drama.
Last year, Berk’s new HGTV show, Junk or Jackpot?, was announced the day after Queer Eye cancellation was confirmed.
