Naomi Watts’ trans daughter Kai Schreiber steals the show at Paris Fashion Week

Naomi Watt’s daughter Kai Schreiber served an iconic look at the Balenciaga’s Womenswear Fall/Winter 2026 show in Paris over the weekend.
The 17-year-old model, who is the daughter of Hollywood stars Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, attended the show during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday (7 March).
She was joined by her A-list mum, who wore an elegant off-the-shoulder black top paired with tailored black trousers, while the model and looked incredible in a black cropped cape top and trousers.
The mother-daughter duo previously hosted an LGBTQ+ fundraising event in New York and appeared at an Armani Beauty event and last year’s Paris Fashion Week.
Kai came out publicly in 2024 and has received the full supporter of her parents, with Watts being quick to support her daughter’s modelling achievements online, while her father previously described his daughter as a fighter.
The Scream star told People: “Kai was always who Kai is. I suppose the most profound moment was her asking us to change her pronouns. To be honest with you, it didn’t feel like that big of a deal to me.”
Kai signed to IMG Models and made her runway debut for Maison Valentino. Last year, she told Interview magazine: “I want to be a supermodel. Period. I’ve been practising my walks in the kitchen for years, my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film.
On Instagram, she has shared highlights from the the 2026 shows she has walked in, which include runways for Jean Paul Gaultier and Mugler.
Watts and Schreiber have another child, 18-year-old Sasha, who is also a budding model and who voiced one of the young wolves in 2016’s The Jungle Book.
Watts and Schreiber began dating in 2005 but split up after 11 years together. In 2017, Schreiber was praised for taking then eight-year-old Kai to ComicCon, with the youngster dressed as Batman character Harley Quinn.
She had not yet publicly come out as trans, and fans described Schreiber’s children being able to wear whatever costume they wanted as inspiring.
