Caitlyn Jenner has claimed she was owed almost half a million dollars by the estate of her late friend Sophia Hutchins.
Hutchins died in July 2025 after a tragic ATV crash near Jenner’s home in Malibu, California. Her death certificate confirmed she sadly died from “multiple blunt force injuries” which occurred during the crash.
According to TMZ, Jenner has filed a creditor’s claim against Hutchins’ estate, claiming she’s owed $439,095.88.
Sophia Hutchins’ unpaid expenses
According to the legal documents seen by the publication, the unpaid expenses include credit card charges, cash advances and Hutchins’ portion of shared legal fees.
They also reportedly include shopping charges with companies such as eBay and Shopify, among others.
Jenner claims that more than $273,000 relates to credit card charges, while $133k was from lawyers that the friends retained together.

She also lists almost $16,000 in charges to debit cards, as well as around $7,000 in cash advances she claims Hutchins took out over a period of time.
According to Jenner, Hutchins only had access to her cards for work reasons. She claims Hutchins was supposed to pay back any personal spending on the cards, which she allegedly did not do before her death.
The claim was filed in November 2025. Hutchins’ estate authorised the requested amount in March 2026.
