Below Deck’s Fraser Olender and Matt Rogers relationship update after ‘break’

Comedian Matt Rogers has given an update on his relationship with Below Deck star Fraser Olender, after the latter’s “traumatic” health issues.

Last year, Olender, 33, revealed that he’d ended up in hospital with “vape poisoning”. He explained that his symptoms had been very similar to a heart attack.

Now, Rogers, 36, has shared how it affected their six-month relationship, admitting the couple took “a little bit of space”.

Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast Las Culturistas with Bowen Yang, Rogers said: “We were already really enjoying being together and then there was this health stuff that entered and so that accelerated things.

“Now where we are at is, he’s off… I can’t say where. He’s creating the television program many people like.

“I’m going to see him soon but while he’s been gone and I’ve been sort of busy doing my own thing, we kind of did just take a little bit of space just because of how intense everything had gotten and personal things.”

Olender included a handsome photo of Rogers in an Instagram carousel last week, so it appears reports of a hard split are, thankfully, not correct.

How long have Matt Rogers and Fraser Olender been dating?

Olender shared his health issues around December 2025, a month after the duo went public in November at BravoCon.

Rogers revealed that they had been dating for three months by that point.

He said, speaking to Lena Dunham: “I wasn’t even going with the idea of, ‘And we are going to take a photo on the carpet.’ He wanted to take a picture together, I was like, ‘Let’s do it.’

“I put it on my Instagram. Then all of a sudden, that very weekend, people are like, ‘Oh, Matt and Fraser are dating.’

“As that was happening, and I know this is going to sound dramatic, he had a heart attack in front of me.”

Girls icon Dunham replied: “Doesn’t sound dramatic. It’s true. It’s traumatic, is what it is.”
