Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have split up after nearly three years together, according to reports.

The couple, who met on the set of Wicked, “quietly” ended their romantic relationship “several months” ago, a source told People.

“It’s amicable, they gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways,” the source says. “They are still friends and very supportive of one another”, the source said.

Pop chart-topper Grande, 32, met former SpongeBob SquarePants musical star Slater in 2023 during production of Wicked, in which Grande played Glinda the good witch and Slater player Boq Woodsman.

The pair made their relationship public in 2024 while finalising divorces with their respective former partners, real estate agent Dalton Gomez and clinical psychologist Lilly Jay.

Grande kicked off her ‘Eternal Sunshine Tour’ in California over the weekend, with 10 dates planned at London’s O2 Arena in August and September.

Her newly-released single “Hate That I Made You Love Me” currently sits at the top of the UK charts with the singer’s eighth studio album, Petal, set for release on 31 July.

Meanwhile, Slater is set to reprise his Gen V role as Thomas Godolkin in Prime Video’s latest The Boys spin-off, Vought Rising, which is expected to premiere in 2027.
