Naomi Watts’ youngest daughter Kai Schreiber debuts darkest hair yet

Naomi Watts and her 17-year-old daughter, Kai Schreiber, just delivered a seriously chic mother-daughter fashion moment, and Kai is officially entering her brunette era.
The aspiring model stepped out with her actress mom in East Hampton, New York, on 20 August for the Michael Kors 45th anniversary collection dinner, debuting her darkest hair colour yet after years of experimenting with different shades of blonde.
Kai showed off a rich chocolate-brown shade and styled her new hair in a sleek ponytail with face-framing layers. She paired the transformation with a classic black column dress, black patent leather sandals and a delicate silver pendant necklace.
Watts, 57, coordinated with her daughter in her own fashion-forward look, wearing slouchy black leather trousers with an asymmetrical white sleeveless top, gold collar-style necklace and pointed-toe stilettos. Her hair was styled in a signature platinum-blonde bob with a bold red lip.
The pair were also photographed alongside fellow mother-daughter duo Christie Brinkley and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who wore coordinated red dresses.
Kai is the youngest child of Watts and her former partner, actor Liev Schreiber. The couple also share a 19-year-old son, Sasha. Kai has increasingly made a name for herself in the fashion world, including walking the runway and appearing at major fashion events alongside her famous parents.
In May 2025, Liev Schreiber spoke of his daughter’s gender identity, telling Variety: “Kai is such a fighter. It’s important that she goes, ‘Hey, I am trans,’ and, ‘Look at me.'”
