Trixie Mattel says she and Frankie Grande had ‘consensual, non-monogamous relationship’ with Barry Keoghan

In a 29 August episode of Netflix’s I Like to Watch, drag icons Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova reacted to Let’s Marry Harry, a reality series that follows a group of women competing for the chance to marry Australian TV personality and influencer Harry Jowsey.
When the women on the show start discussing the “rat boy” trend (the appreciation of conventionally unconventional, slightly scruffy, often skinny and/or chaotic men), Trixie and Katya were initially baffled.
“Is this a youth thing?” Trixie asked.
Katya, meanwhile, wondered whether a “rat boy” is literally some sort of “bad boy” who “gets out of holes”, before the pair eventually realise they’re talking about the likes of Timothée Chalamet and Pete Davidson.
Katya admits that she, too, was “a victim of the rat boy community”.
But Trixie’s confession takes things to an entirely different level.
“Me and Frankie Grande were in a consensual, non-monogamous relationship with Barry Keoghan,” she jokes. “Ironically, I was the rat boy. I was the mole king.”
I Like to Watch has been running since 2019, with Trixie and Katya providing their uniquely chaotic commentary on Netflix shows, reality TV and pop culture. The series has become one of the duo’s most popular recurring projects, giving fans an excuse to watch two of the internet’s favourite drag queens react to television while inevitably getting sidetracked into increasingly unhinged conversations.
And apparently, the latest episode has also given us a crucial piece of Trixie lore in the form of her alleged place in the Barry Keoghan–Frankie Grande–rat boy cinematic universe.
