Bebe Rexha hits out at straight men in her comments: ‘A girl wanna dress sexy’

Bebe Rexha has hit back at sexualised comments about her body, joking that “we need an app for girls and gays” after calling out “straight men” who focus on her breasts.
The 37-year-old singer-songwriter wrote on X: “I don’t know what to do with my boobies. They just got so massive and I hate the straight men in my comments who only come for that but, then again, a girl still wanna dress sexy.”
She then added: “[I don’t know] we need an app for girls and gays.”
Rexha also addressed how curvy women are judged for what they wear, writing: “I feel like when girls with curvy bodies wear something tight we automatically look s*****.”
In the same exchange, Rexha, replying to a fan, explained her weight gain was linked to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), as well as “eating too much bread”.
Body comments and weight scrutiny
Rexha has previously spoken publicly about fluctuating weight and the impact of online scrutiny.
In a 2023 Instagram post, she wrote: “Yes, I’m in my fat era and what?”
In April 2023, she also tweeted about seeing “Bebe Rexha weight gain” trending on TikTok, writing: “Seeing that search bar is so upsetting. I’m not mad cause it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what,” before adding: “I’ve always struggled with my weight. A b**** likes to eat. I’m working on myself everyday. Just discouraged a bit right now.”
Who is Bebe Rexha?
Rexha is a Grammy-nominated pop singer-songwriter known for hits including “Meant to Be” (with Florida Georgia Line) and “I’m a Mess”, plus collaborations such as “In the Name of Love” with Martin Garrix. She has also written songs for other major artists, including co-writing Eminem and Rihanna’s “The Monster”.
She has been open about mental health and body-image pressures in the music industry, and has previously spoken about living with PCOS and how it can affect her body and wellbeing.
