Gay adult film star and burlesque dancer Hunter Hardin, also known as LuLu LoveBottom, has died aged 30, with friends sharing tributes and details in comments on an Instagram post.
Hardin died on 7 September, after leaving a goodbye message on Instagram. The message read “I love you and I’m sorry I was unable to make it to the end. GOODBYE FOREVER. Love, LuLu.” The caption read “Been hurt for the last time by someone I shared my heart with 💔”

In the comments, Asuras, described as a close friend, wrote: “Hey everyone- Lulu’s best friend here,” adding: “His roommates broke down his door and called paramedics but unfortunately it was far too late to resuscitate him. Lulu has sadly passed away and I’m so truly sorry to anyone that knew him.”
Johani Montero also paid tribute, describing Hardin as “one of the happiest and sweetest people I’ve ever met,” and urging people to look out for one another. “If there’s anything this reminds us of, it’s how important it is to be there for one another, especially when someone may be struggling,” Montero wrote. “We can get so used to putting on a facade, acting like everything is okay, and keeping things to ourselves. Sometimes, we don’t even realize how much someone might be going through beneath the surface. So check on your people. Ask them how they’re really doing. Make time for the conversations that go beyond ‘I’m good.’ Let the people in your life know that they don’t have to carry everything alone.”
A separate commenter also said Hardin’s family is reportedly “asking for privacy during this very overwhelming time.”
Hardin’s work and community
Known online as LuLu LoveBottom, Hardin was a well-known creator and nightlife personality.
In a March 2025 Out Sports interview, Hardin said burlesque helped him connect different parts of his identity: “It allows me to identify my femininity with my masculinity,” he said.
