Jean Smart officiated Mark Indelicato’s wedding to David Watson and, in a clip from the ceremony, pronounced them “husband and husband”.

Ugly Betty star Indelicato, 32, married Watson in an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, 10 October, with videos shared on Instagram Stories by Hacks castmates Johnny Sibilly and Hannah Einbinder.

In Sibilly’s clip, Smart, 75, can be heard delivering the vows: “Do you, Mark Anthony Indelicato, take David Joel Watson to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, in sickness, in health, for richer, for poorer, as long as you both shall live?”

After Indelicato confirms, Smart adds: “Then by the power vested in me by American Marriage Ministers, I now pronounce you husband and husband.”

Clips from the ceremony show Indelicato and Watson kissing, before moving straight to the dance floor for their first dance.

Which Hacks castmates were at the wedding?

Several familiar faces from Hacks attended the celebration, including Paul W. Downs, Einbinder, Meg Stalter and Poppy Liu.

Downs also shared an Instagram Stories group photo from the day featuring Indelicato, Smart, Sibilly and Einbinder, alongside Stalter and Liu, writing: “Hacks fam 4 Eva,” over the image.

The couple’s first dance was to Paul McCrane’s “Is It Okay If I Call You Mine?”. Photos and videos from the day also show both grooms wearing black suits with white button-down collared shirts, before changing into more casual looks later, including a black tank top for Indelicato.

Who is Mark Indelicato?

Indelicato is an out gay actor who rose to prominence as the iconic Justin Suarez on Ugly Betty, and more recently has played Damien, Deborah Vance’s assistant, on Hacks.

Indelicato previously told Out that his parents were supportive when he came out as gay in high school, and praised Hacks for its LGBTQ+ representation, saying: “They’re just existing as queer people.”

In 2021, he also reflected on early fame and the pressure of being treated as a queer “poster child” as a child actor with PinkNews.
