Twitch is a live streaming site which is a subsidiary of Amazon. It originally had a service called Twitch Prime, which gives Amazon Prime subscribers perks on the company’s live streaming platform. This was renamed Prime Gaming in 2020. It was introduced in 2011 as a spin off of the streaming platform Justin TV and was bought by Amazon in 2014 in an all-cash deal. The platform is a popular choice for esports tournaments, personal streams of individual gamers, and gaming-related talk shows. Some people also use Twitch to do live speedrunning, where you complete a game as quickly as possible. The most popular games streamed on Twitch are Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Hearthstone, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
