TV networks reject Sir Elton’s gay sitcom
US TV executives have rejected a gay TV show from Sir Elton John.
The gay star was due to produce Him and Us, starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor, Anthony Head as an ageing gay rock star and Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall as his manager.
He had already written a theme tune for it, but the show was snubbed after a pilot episode.
A spokesman for Sir Elton said: “The show will not go on.”
Cattrall said it would have made a “great series.”
She told The Stage, “I’m not sure why but it didn’t work out. It would have been a great series, perhaps the subject matter might have been to much for some people.”
