If anyone has any doubt that Freddie Mercury’s vocals were second-to-none, here is the decider.

A newly-shared version of ‘We Are The Champions’ features Mercury’s isolated vocals from the track.

The singer certainly shows off his four-octave vocal range.

Mercury passed away at his London home on 24 November 1991, aged 45.

He had been diagnosed HIV-positive several years earlier, and died of bronchial pneumonia, brought on by AIDS.

Queenā€™s lead singer is remembered for his captivating live performances, searing vocals and enduring classics such as ā€˜We Are The Championsā€™,Ā ā€˜Killer Queenā€™ and ā€˜Bohemian Rhapsodyā€™.

In 1987, Mercury told journalist David Wigg that he had no fears of becoming a lonely, rich 70-year-old.

ā€œIā€™ve lived a full life and if Iā€™m dead tomorrow, I donā€™t give a damn. I really have done it allā€, he said.

A previously unheard duet between music icons Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson was released in 2015.
